Former TV news anchor Shad Olson seems unhappy to go to court next week. Criticizes judge, makes claims on Facebook of being raped in jail.

I’m guessing former Rapid City television anchor and conspiracist Shad Olson might have a scowl on his face, just as pictured above in his mugshot, because he seems displeased about going back to court next Tuesday (8:30 AM, Meade County Courthouse) for violating his probation.

At least, that’s according to a facebook post he made late last night/early this AM, ranting venom at the prosecutor and insulting the judge in the case.   (Of course, that’s unless he claims he was hacked again).

Shad is claiming to have bought a multimillion dollar home? This seems to be a turn of fortune from when he was in jail before. I thought he was unable to afford counsel, so he had a court-appointed attorney, and Julie Frye Mueller’s sister had to bail him out of jail?

Anyway, you can look it up yourself if you’re that interested, since his rant goes on for another or 3 of 4 more pages of whining and insulting the people trying to hold him to account for pleading No Contest to beating up his last girlfriend.  I did have a former State’s Attorney clarify something for me. Did you know you can’t ask for a different judge at this point? So, he can insult Judge Callahan all he wants, but Shad does not get a different judge.  I’m sure that’s going to go well.

The other thing I noticed was that Shad makes a claim on Facebook that he was “drugged and raped in the Meade County solitary confinement cell by corrections staff.” I’m not sure what a person does with that. I am not privy to the results of that investigation, and I’m sure there will be one, so we’ll see what comes of that claim; whether it’s a valid statement, or if it’s in the realm of him supposedly buying a multimillion-dollar home.

With the hearing next Tuesday I’m sure this isn’t the last we’re going to hear about it.

    ShadGPT was whining on a previous post that no South Dakota retailers would stock his book.

    ShadGPT Many South Dakotans are under financial stress now some being severe. If you have cases of books that will never sell they would make a great fire starter. That could help people of the state to cook and stay warm. Donate them.

  5. He has gotten really good at right clicking and hitting “synonyms.” And if he was to the point of being sedated in jail, he had to be completely unhinged.

  7. I get it. He was a public figure for a while, he dated a legislator. But his star has fallen. Can I say we’ve reached the point where I don’t care to read another Shad Olson story? He’s just another local crime update, not a subject for a statewide political blog.

    All these people have to remember they need to climb the ladder a bit further before they are above the law. Simply registering for the republican party does not make you an inner party member where you can do stuff like this with no consequence. Keep working hard, and someday the laws may not apply to you; until then, you will be used as an example.
