Morning Consult: Rounds and Thune among top 10 most popular Senators in nation

This morning, the Morning Consult released the latest edition of its Senator and Governor Approval Rankings, and South Dakota found it’s two US Senators in the top 10 of favored Senators, with Mike Rounds ranking #6, and John Thune ranking #8.

    1. Yes! However, if you click on the link you may have noticed that Thune’s approval rating has dropped from Q4 2018 to Q1 2019 and a there has been a significant drop from Q1 2017. It’s a similar case with Rounds. I wonder why?

      Who is being surveyed? Registered South Dakota voters or over 5,000 registered voters across the United States? Grain of salt.

      1. Morning Consult uses polling info from the Senator’s home state to determine rankings. So they are registered SD voters.

  1. Prediction: Thune will become more and more unpopular due to his leadership position. Rounds will become more and more popular with 2020 approaching.

  2. Its a human flaw that some people will have a penchant to criticize others no matter what.

    1. Maple syrup is delicious, but I’d prefer to buy a locally-produced variety & support SD agriculture. Pretty sure we can grow maple trees.
