This seems to be something that he’s going to try to beat the drum on when he’s out on the campaign trail, since Hansen generally is lacking in legislative accomplishment.
Maybe Hansen should have gone through with teaming with Toby Doeden.

Nobody hates anyone afflicted with a psychosis, and there are drugs like Haldol and Zyprexa for that. .

When psychotic people tell you they are pandas and llamas, their spouses are imposters, their homes aren’t really their homes, they’re duplicates, they have been pregnant for over a year and haven’t given birth yet, celebrities they have never met are in love with them, they are dead and don’t understand why you are talking to them, and they are the opposite gender, and you believe them, YOU are an idiot.

you need to listen to some of the arguments before the SCOTUS. The law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, but if you can’t decide what sex (gender) is, how is that prohibition enforced? This is turning into a bigger deal than we imagined. If lawyers, legislators and lawyers don’t what a woman is, then prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex becomes impossible to enforce.

It truly is a binary distinction, if you have a Y chromosome you’re male, While a female might receive a blood transfusion from a male and have a few Y chromosomes circulating throughout her blood stream, they don’t go anywhere else..if you don’t have a Y chromosome, you are female. There is no such thing as “non-binary.” You either have. a Y chromosome or you don’t..

You make fair points, but his bill says to prohibit funding for anything to the contrary. . This is more of their far right religious based politics that are archaic. They want to take away any right to actually make a decision for yourself.
Define sex of Female and Male for legal and medical purposes, and leave it at that. The government has no right to deny you the services they offer to everyone else based on gender or sexual orientation.
You would still have a right to mutilate yourself, just as you currently can have yourself liposuctioned, implanted, lifted, tattooed and pierced. Nobody has a “right” to government funding.

The Presentation Sisters have for decades tried to eliminate the sales tax on groceries. Marc Feinstein I believe was the 1st legislator to carry that bill. Now more than ever South Dakotans would greatly benefit from this especially our most vulnerable populations. It could of been done long ago but it would require actual work and true productivity.
What do we get instead? Legislators pushing pre-packaged with talking points included out of state factory bills intended to pit South Dakota neighbors against each other. These bills require no effort and commonality of those pushing them are consistently the LEAST productive in the legislature. The districts they are supposed to serve and the state suffer as a result.
We need to help our district voters understand what these elected officials are doing with their time during session when it comes to a primary, the general or the next office seat they are running for. The private sector would not tolerate this waste of time and resources.

No wonder we have so many of these bills in South Dakota and these legislators never get much of anything else done.
