Senators Thune and Rounds on President Trump’s Tweets

What are people saying about President Trump’s comments on twitter recently?

Senator Thune’s comments, From the Argus Leader/Facebook:

From The Argus Leader (same article), Senator Rounds’ comments:

“While I do wish both sides acted with more civility, I believe the president is attempting to point out their unproductive, anti-American criticisms of our country. It is a distraction from what we were sent here to do: advance issues that will improve the lives of hardworking American families,” Rounds said in a statement.

  1. Rounds is the gold standard for conservatism.

Dusty and Thune are never Trumpers who prefered Hillary Clinton. I love Thune but he should be more supportive of the president.

Thank you Trump for saving America. 2 supreme court justices.

    1. Couldn’t agree more with what you wrote. It is time Thune realizes the good Trump has done and is more supportive of the conservative cause.

    1. Doesn’t Rounds vote to import and employ immigrants? I’m not such a big fan of Americans loosing out on job opportunities and their wages dropping, but to each their own.

  2. Proud of all three. They stand up when they agree and disagree with the President. Serve us well.

  3. I don’t hold much stock in Thune. He and Daugaard both vocalized that Trump should drop out of the Presidential race.

  4. Oh heck can’t we just have one of our leaders accidentally call the “Squad” the “squaws” and it’ll just be our little joke back here in Dakota Country?

Why did they all have to comment on what Trump tweeted anyway? Since when are they responsible for what the POTUS tweets? He’s exercising his First Amendment Rights. Have a problem with that? Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

  5. I believe if Thune would actually defend conservative principles rather than pronouncing all of the politically correct pronouncements he makes, a guy like Trump would never have come on the scene in the first place. Some of us are glad to see someone actually standing up to these hypocritical goons that have smeared conservatives over the decades. We have listened to people compare every Republican President since Reagan to Hitler. We have listened to current members in Congress lying about the conditions at the border. We have listened to a lying minority leader in his Senate tarnish everyone from Trump on down, acting holier than thou. If Thune would like to see Trump tone things down, perhaps he can show some cajones and actually attack those who have attacked conservatives for so long. Quit playing the safe game, John. Even without my vote, you can be in the Senate for as long as you want. Try defending the people who send you to the Senate.

    1. You should’ve seen him on Cavuto a couple days ago. Thune did a great job of defending Trump. Wish I had the transcript, but when asked if Trump was a racist he said: No, no, no, no.

  6. He has not other choice. It is no longer the Republican party, it’s the Trump party, and his supporters love it. I saw a biker wearing a Trump shirt today that said…Finally a President with Balls. It was pretty funny.
