South Dakota Dem’s still mum on the speaker for their annual dinner

According to the South Dakota Democrat party’s facebook page, they are hosting their annual shindig at the Best Western Ramkota in Sioux Falls. And when originally announced, they indicated they would be announcing speakers for the brunch and dinner soon (at the time).

Except there has been no announcement. And the Dinner is the day after tomorrow.

In 2018, they featured now Presidential Candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg. The year before was Keith Ellison, which was met with counter-programming by the GOP, and somewhat disastrous publicity with Democrats shutting out the media.

But this year, with 2 days to go? Crickets. Either they don’t want to publicize it, or they can’t find anyone to do it.

Either one ends Ann Tornberg’s Chairmanship which is up on May 1st on an ignoble note.

  1. You would think with being close to iowa they could get one of the 21 candidates running for Dem nomination
