I don’t know that anybody has a good feel for it. But I think at least in the congressional race, Marty Jackley is going to win… by-a-lotta.. (reader joke).
Okay – who wins? Who gets turned out? The floor is yours.

After losing some momentum, I feel Dusty finished with a strong week.
Ha ha…maybe not so much.
Johnson 38%
Doeden 23%
Rhoden 20%

Thank you just cannot believe what Doeden has been doing not on in this campaign but for several years.
Doeden Rhoden Johnson Hansen all get 25%. 🤪
Rhoden 29
Johnson 29
Hanson 23
Doeden 19
I think Toby edges it out and gets the nomination tonight. Many are too confident in Dusty, check out his Facebook, can barely crack 200 likes and he hides all comments. People are waking up to his fakeness and poor voting record.
I’d turn my comments off too if it was filled with Rhoden family whining.
The Doeden effect in Brown County

I don’t know who is going to win but the people of South Dakota a for sure going to lose.
You can sure get your petitions out for 2028.
Oh, wait, you are too lazy to do anything but bellyache about those who try.
What is the matter with your blogging place, Mr. PP? Why would you choose tonight to have it be broken, or are you under attack from out-of-state name-callers and blog monsters from Nebraska?
Sorry.. I’m getting slammed..
Johnson 28%
Rhoden 27%
Dodumb. 25%
Hansen 20%
Johnson 36
Hansen 24
Rhoden 21
Doeden 19
For all of his spending, I haven’t heard much about a ground game for Doeden (maybe there is, but again just didn’t hear about it) but Johnson has been turning out people for over 20 years and that will put him over the top. He’ll keep Tony V. as Lt. Gov.
Hansen turns surpirse second place into AG nomination at convention. Rhoden rides off into the sunset a good man who ran at the wrong time. Doeden switches to funding candidates who support his views and tries to buy influence that way.
First precinct win of the night goes to Angela Neises in Miner County, a Sensible SD candidate
Johnson – 32
Rhoden – 28
Doeden – 26
Hansen – 14
Dusty just doesn’t quite make it over the threshold while Rhoden/Doeden duke it out for 2nd, but Larry wins by 2. Rhoden wins runoff via support from the Doeden/Hansen camps.
Not a bad prognostication. Did you steal this from grudznick’s breakfasting rants?
Toby Doeden guaranteed he was going to win tonight but from our experience that is just typical sleezy stereotypical used car sales talk. Whether it be verbal agreements to being on the sales floor it is the same old Toby from decades back. It would be a tragic mistake and a new low for the state.
Minnehaha will count slowwwwly. Again. That is my prediction.
Just stopped in to make this remark. Why can’t they take a note from Rapid City? They seem to be counting pretty quickly out there. No reason for Minnehaha County to take this long. Is the Auditor up for election yet? Need to recruit someone competent.
What’s going on in Brown Cnty tonight? partials in some races? that’s an odd counting situation.
Early call has come in from the Conservatives with Common Sense: Rounds declared WINNER in his race
UPI is about to follow CwCS, this one is baked.
Toby and Larry advance Dusty loses outright
CwCS not ready to call it for Mr. Jackley just yet, although the UPI is about to. CwCS think Mr. Biolata has another leg sweep in him.
Anybody but RINO Johnson.
Doeden’s ad featuring the Mrs. talking about how he CARES so much was brilliant and sealed the lead for him.
Dusty’s ads featuring his kids were awful in their goofiness. Goofy doesn’t work, especially when the kids are too old to be cute.
At the begining of the campaign season, this was Dusty’s race to lose, and he did.
It’s stunning just how out of touch Dusty’s ads were for this election cycle.
GOOD-BYE DUSTY!!!
How about that Jason Green take two? What a great candidate!
Thankfully a mostly normal slate of legislators on the fall ballot. Heaven help us if Doeden is elected governor, but a sensible House and Senate will hopefully dampen his dumbest ideas.
