Don’t forget that the Dems are featuring one of the biggest liberals in the country to South Dakota for their dinner.

Remember last month how South Dakota Democrats announced that DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) will be their speaker at this year’s McGovern Day Dinner this weekend? Announced it as in “sort of.” Because they were pretty quiet about it.

Why would they be quiet about it?

Well….  This is the same Debbie Wasserman Schultz who was reported to have prepared to attack President Obama as anti-woman and anti-semitic if she ousted her as DNC chair.

And, this is the same Debbie Wasserman Schultz who was recently caught wheeling and dealing with a mega-donor in return for a switch in her position on medical marijuana.

Let’s not forget that this is the same Debbie Wasserman Schultz who went way over the line in attacking Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on women’s issues, saying the Republican “has given women the back of his hand.”

So, what are your thoughts? With those qualifications, is she an all-too-appropriate spokesperson to help South Dakota Democrats?

  1. Ellis hinted in the Argus web show that a Dem state legislator is planning to announce a challenge to Noem at the McGovern Dinner. Who is crazy enough to do that? Sutton? Frerichs?

  2. Hopefully, someone who knows we can do better than Kristi and her phony million dollar smile.

    1. What’s a phony million dollar smile?

Noem does a great job representing me and my conservative values.

        1. Are the previous three anons all the same person? I detect a pattern, and the smell of sulphur.

  3. Most liberals have a few principles that they try to adhere to.

    Dubbie Sasserman Shultze has none.

  4. PP,

Who is Jonathan Ellis talking about when he says a challenger from the legislature will be announcing against Noem soon? He says it’s a good recruit. Who would that be? Billie Sutton?

Is it happening at McGovern Day?

  5. Debbie W. Schultz on Marco Rubio (4/13/15):

“So if you want to put what is essentially a prune and package some tinsel around it”

Prune–got it???? Rubio is dark, like a prune.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a racist sow.

Anyone up for a demonstration to protest this racist at the McGovern dinner?

      1. No. Debbie is a racist and this other person just pointed it out. She’s a horrible human being and the Dems in DC do not want her as DNC chair.

  6. Inside word from people in the know in the Democratic Party is that it is Rep. Paula Hawks from District 9 (Sioux Falls, Hartford). She came in second in her last four-person race, beating the 3rd place Republican by 8 votes in a Democratic district. Doesn’t sound like a strong candidate to me but she is very tall.

    1. That is not a good candidate at all. Better than Corrina probably but if that is all they can do then they might as well not try.

They need a moderate voice in the SDDP to step forward and run instead of the Obama lovers.
