State Rep. Goodwin notes employers have right to tell employees to get vaccinated

State Representative Tim Goodwin is writing in his legislative column in the Rapid City Journal that in the issue of organizations such as Sanford Health and others demanding their workers be vaccinated, they have the right to do that. And if employees don’t like it, they have the right to choose to work someplace else:

As far as making folks get the vaccine?  I do not believe in vaccine passports, mandatory vaccination, or any type of shutdowns.

Our Gov. Noem feels the same way.

The one big question that keeps being asked of me is, “Do employers have the right to make a person get vaccinated as a condition of employment?”  Thinking out loud here, I believe an employer in private sector business has rights as well.  Therefore, if he/she owns their business, and they decide that for you to work there, they want you vaccinated, I believe that they are within their right to do so.

The employee, on the other hand, does not have to get vaccinated, as they can choose not to work there.

Dakota News Now reporter Beth Warden snaps Taffy Howard, others at pillow guy’s Cyber Symposium

From Beth Warden at Dakota News Now comes a snapshot of several South Dakota state legislators at the Mike Lindell Cyber Symposium where they were going to prove voter fraud in the last election. Until they couldn’t.

That would be wannabe Congressional Candidate and State Rep. Taffy Howard standing with goofball State Rep. Julie Frye-Mueller, who took time away from telling parents to reject school handbooks to attend this crazy thing in Sioux Falls. And also standing there looking at her phone is State Rep. Tina Mulally.

In the week or so that State Representative Taffy Howard has been a candidate for Congress, we find that Howard is already shuffling her campaign around.

In her previous filing on August 3rd, Howard had declared that Dianne Nelson of Rapid City was her treasurer. Now, 9 days later, Howard has filed an amendment to her statement of organization, declaring State Rep. Rhonda Milstead as her new campaign treasurer.

Bad news for two visitors to South Dakota this week

Sidney Powell is somewhere in the Black Hills working on her book. Mike Lindell is in Sioux Falls running a cyber symposium.

And they both received some news tonight which probably ruined their week.

So, do we now call it a “my pillow sham?”

Not looking good for Mike Lindell’s Cyber Symposium tonight after his lead investigator is now claiming he can’t prove China hacked our election.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s lead cyber expert now says the key data underpinning the theory that China hacked the 2020 election unveiled at the Cyber Symposium is illegitimate.

and..

But Mr. Lindell’s lead cyber expert, Josh Merritt, told The Washington Times that packet captures are unrecoverable in the data and that the data, as provided, cannot prove a cyberincursion by China.

“We were handed a turd,” he said. “And I had to take that turd and turn it into a diamond. And that’s what I think we did.”

South Dakota Kristi Noem Country and Dusty Johnson “Tribute” pins now available $10 each

If you’re a button collector or a supporter of Governor Noem and/or Congressman Johnson, here’s an opportunity to show your support for them in style.

I’ve finally received my shipment of the two pins that I’ve created so far through my political business (at Dakota Campaign Store) for pins supporting the candidates in a tribute to some of the best buttons from South Dakota’s past elections.

The first pin is for Governor Kristi Noem, based on one of the best South Dakota Political buttons of the last 50 years. And with our Governor rumored to be a candidate for President in the next presidential race, it might be appropriate.

This 1980 South Dakota – Reagan Country Pin is a tough find, and is valued by collectors nationwide.

So what better pin to give tribute to in an update for 2022 with South Dakota’s current and next Governor:

 

This 3 inch pin just turned out great (And it’s already getting a thumbs up from collectors)!

One of my personal favorite South Dakota pins is a 1952 pin that I’m trying to chase down and out back into my collection (update – I have it now), which should also look familiar to South Dakota’s Teenage Republicans, since “Punchy” the elephant is also the mascot/logo for the TARS.

What better pin to use for a tribute to a young Republican who served as a mentor for the South Dakota TARS for years, South Dakota’s Congressman Dusty Johnson:

The orange on this 3 inch pin does get it noticed!

SD Woki-Leaks drops new post on Critical Race Theory instruction at USD

SD Woki-leaks is back at uncovering wokism in the State University system, and today drops a huge new post on Critical Race Theory instruction taking place at the University of South Dakota:

In the fall of 2020, Dr. Popova gave a talk on “systemic racism” to USD students. Her talk was part of the “Diversity and Inclusivity ECHO Series” put on by the USD School of Health Sciences. In her talk, Popova shared with students her view of the United States. According to Popova, the U.S. was directly founded on the principle of “White supremacy.” The nation itself is so racist and rotten to the core that all Americans, even “sweet,” “well-intentioned” ones, actually spread racism everywhere they go because they have been corrupted by the racist system. So, it is not enough for Americans to try to be good people and to treat one another well. Instead, we have to tear down and rebuild “the system” that Popova blames for all bad outcomes experienced by minority groups. This is not an overstatement of Popova’s position. Here is an excerpt from her talk:

The ideas that Popova presents are the core axioms of critical race theory (CRT). So, CRT is being taught to USD students.

Note that Popova does not present the ideas of CRT as hypotheses that deserve questioning, testing, or debating. That would be a different story. Universities are supposed to be places where we can debate and test out ideas.

But Popova doesn’t do that. She doesn’t teach about CRT. She teaches CRT. As holy writ. In her long talk (which closely resembles a conspiracy theory and can be viewed in its entirely here, unless USD deletes it, as it has done with other incriminating evidence), Popova delivers the ideas of CRT and Wokism as Truths for the students to passively accept. Her talk is, essentially, a sermon – one designed to stir up disdain for the United States and pave the way for student radicalism. It is pure indoctrination: The presentation of an extremely simplistic, one-sided version of history as the Absolute Truth.

For listening to Popova’s talk, USD Health Sciences students were given credits that could be used to satisfy the requirements of a health-sciences professional development program.

Augustana University to require masks this fall for all students

Hope the Augustana U kids all kept their masks after last Spring. Because they’re going to need them again according to the e-mail that went out today from AU president Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin to the University’s students:

“Based on CDC’s updated guidance, as Minnehaha and Lincoln counties are currently experiencing high community spread of the virus based on test positivity rates, Augustana will require everyone to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status. This indoor masking protocol is effective August 16 until further notice.”

I have this strange sense of deja-vu..

It might just be a very long school year.

Pillow Guy’s Cyber Symposium has his biggest promoter, Steve Bannon, “unconvinced.”

I was surprised to see this, as Mike Lindell has been promoting his Cyber Symposium via Steve Bannon for some time now. But even Bannon appears to be left flat so far from the event being held in Sioux Falls.

Conservative broadcaster Steve Bannon criticized MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell on Wednesday for failing to prove the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.

As Lindell was kicking off the second day of his “cyber symposium,” Bannon said that the MyPillow CEO had not provided his followers with “receipts” proving the election was fraudulent.
